Saudi End of Service Calculator — EOSB in Plain English

Saudi's official end-of-service calculator sits inside Qiwa, behind a login, Arabic-first. This one does the same maths in English, in the open: half a month's wage per year for the first 5 years, one month per year after (Labour Law Articles 84–85) — with the resignation tiers and the basic-vs-total wage choice shown honestly.

How Saudi end of service benefits work

Worked example

Imran's wage is SAR 10,000 (7,000 basic + 3,000 fixed allowances). He completes 8 years.
Full award = (½ × 5) + (1 × 3) = 5.5 months × 10,000 = SAR 55,000
If Imran resigns at 8 years: ⅔ × 55,000 = SAR 36,667. If his employer ends the contract: the full SAR 55,000.

Frequently asked questions

How are end of service benefits calculated in Saudi Arabia?

Under Articles 84–85 of the Saudi Labour Law: half a month's wage for each of the first 5 years of service, and one month's wage for each year after that, calculated on your last wage. There is no upper cap.

I resigned from my job in Saudi Arabia. How much EOSB do I get?

On resignation: nothing if you leave before 2 years, one-third of the award from 2 to 5 years, two-thirds from 5 to 10 years, and the full award after 10 years. If the employer ends the contract, the full award is payable regardless of service length.

Should the calculation use basic salary or total salary in Saudi Arabia?

The law says the award is based on the last wage. In practice, employers and courts differ on whether fixed allowances are included, and GOSI-registered wages are often used as the reference. This calculator lets you run both versions — basic only, or basic plus fixed allowances — so you can see the range.

Is there a maximum end of service amount in Saudi Arabia?

No. Unlike the UAE (2-year cap) and Kuwait (18-month cap), Saudi end of service benefits have no statutory maximum — the award simply grows with service and wage.

When are end of service benefits paid in Saudi Arabia?

The employer must settle all dues at the end of the contract — within one week if the employer ends the contract, and within two weeks if the employee resigns. Delays can be reported through the Ministry of Human Resources (MHRSD) or Qiwa.
